In this master thesis a climate data record of global radiation (SIS) generated by MeteoSviss in the framework auf the Satellite Application Facility on Climate Monitoring (CM SAF) ist investigated. The climate data record was derived from measurements take by the Meteosat First Generation (NFG) satellite series between 1983 and 2005
