MAP D-PHASE: Demonstrating forecast capabilities for flood events in the Alpine region

This document is the report on the WWRP Forecast Demonstration Project D-PHASE submitted to the WWRP Joint Scientific Committee that collects information on and summarises the activities of D-PHASE. The main part of the report provides a short introduction on the WWRP Research and Development Project (RDP) MAP and the emergence of its Forecast Demonstration Project (FDP) counterpart D-PHASE (Section 1), gives an overview on the goals of D-PHASE (Section 2), and presents the project’s central facility, the ‘Visualisation Platform’ (Section 3). The user feedback is summarized in Section 4 while Section 5 contains conclusions.
