In the framework of the European Commission’s Copernicus C3Surf project (Copernicus Climate Change Service based on Surface in-situ Observations, C3S_311a_Lot4), climate-monitoring products for Europe are provided, based on surface in-situ observations. MeteoSwiss contributes with the development of a new long-term time-consistent monthly precipitation dataset (LAPrec, for Long-term Alpine Precipitation REConstruction), coordinates and participates in a comparison of several datasets (already existing and developed in the project).
